The race for the next MLS expansion spot just got a little simpler with MLS Commissioner Don Garber and FC Barcelona representatives today announcing that they were both backing out of negotiations on the subject. Seems as though Miami is not ready for another franchise:After extensive discussions and collaborative evaluation a decision was made that at this time because it was determined that it was not feasible to launch a Major League Soccer team in South Florida in 2010 due to adverse market conditions.
I'd rather see Miami never get a new team seeing as how the last one there crashed and burned mostly due to the city and its citizens themselves. Unlike San Jose where the ownership was who was really at fault.

AC Milan cheif Adriani Galliani confirmed earlier reports of the supposed loan deal between them and the LA Galaxy for David Beckham. Nothing from the Galaxy camp yet.
